The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out of the 2016 NFL draft with seven new players, among them Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo, whose father is from Guanajuato.

The former Winston college teammate didn't miss a field goal attempt inside 40 yards and made all 198 of his extra points for the Seminoles.

"When you get a chance to get the best kicker in the history of college football, I didn't want to risk it, wanted to take him. I have a lot of confidence in him. I like the way he's wired. I like the body of work he's put out there, obviously," General manager Jason Licht said.

Aguayo joins other players of Mexican origin at the NFL, such as Danny Villanueva, Efrén Herrera, Rafael Septién, Francisco Corral, Raúl Alegre and the Zendejas brothers.

"Words cannot describe how excited I am to be a part of the @TBBuccaneers family! Looking forward to the many great years ahead! #GoBucs," the player wrote on Twitter after the announcement.
