Nidia García, former police officer of Escobedo, Nuevo León who was suspended for posing topless for photographs with her uniform and weapon inside a police car, will now become a table dancer.

García, mother of two daughters -aged three months and five years- said she almost lost her husband after being exhibited half naked. "The photographs were private. They damaged my family, parents and husband," she said, even though she admits that she made a mistake in being photographed with her uniform inside a police car.

"My dad is a policeman, and also my brother and an uncle. My grandfather worked for the army. This is why I chose this profession. I like it very much, but I have been offered this new opportunity and I think it will be better for me because it is less risky,” she explained about her decision to become a table dancer.

Police officers like her make 12,500 pesos a month (US$719).

In an interview with EL UNIVERSAL, García explained that she will start touring in Cancun, Mérida and Culiacán and added that Saltillo has also expressed interest in her.

As a table dancer she will always dress in blue and will be called the Polisex.

She added that she is very liberal and that she plans to accept the offer to pose naked for H and Play Boy magazines.
