A total of 209 PGR officers arrested

The Office of the Attorney General (PGR) reported that more than 200 of its employees and officers have been arrested for the crimes of extortion, bribery, illicit enrichment, illegal deprivation of freedom, theft, sexual harassment, use of false documents and others between April and November.

The agency reported that those actions were carried by the General Inspectorate of the PGR, which also obtained 112 arrest warrants against staff for committing various illegal activities.

Also, 115 officers from the Office of the Public Prosecutor of the Federation and 127 elements of the Federal Ministerial Police were removed.

In other actions, in this case against impunity, 343 public officials were punished and 91 will face criminal investigations against them.
