Culprits in Bar Heaven case sentenced to 520 years in prison

Edgar Ernesto Gutiérrez Vera and Andrés Estuard Henonet González were sentenced to 520 years in prison and a fine of US$290,380 each.

Edgar Ernesto Gutiérrez Vera, a former police officer, and Andrés Estuard Henonet González were sentenced to 520 years in prison and a fine of 5.5 million pesos (US$290,380) each for their involvement in the kidnapping and murder of 13 youngsters from Bar Heaven in Mexico City on May 26, 2013.

Their corpses were found three months later in a clandestine grave in a rural area.

So far, five people have been convicted in the case, including Ernesto Espinosa and José de Jesús Carmona, owners of the bar, and Víctor Manuel Torres
