Cozumel will have a new planetarium

The Cha'an Ka'an Planetarium of Cozumel, that cost almost 60 million pesos (US$3.6 million), will be inaugurated tomorrow in Cozumel. Cha'an Ka'an means to enjoy the sky in Mayan.

The scientific, technological and cultural complex has an observatory with two telescopes for day and night observation, a projection dome for 95 people with a full immersion 3-D viewing environment and a museum with archaeological objects related to Mayan astronomy.

This is the third planetarium of Quintana Roo after Yook'ok Kaab in Chetumal and Ka' Yok' in Cancún.
