Salma Hayek said that her husband François Pinault asked her to marry him three times before she accepted his proposal and added that marriage is the biggest fear that she has overcome.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País, the Mexican actress also talked about her family life and admitted having lied about her age in the past.

"There was a time when I was persuaded to lie about my age. I was born in 1966, but more than one biography says that my birth year is 1968. But I am terrible at lying, I get caught right away," she said.

Hayek described her partner as a "wonderful, self-confident and feminist man who likes strong women and knows how to take care of her."

"Many strong women with power and determination like me enjoy having someone to take care of us and take the reins," she explained.

She also said that she takes care of around 30 animals, which is a very time-consuming task.

About her movie "The Prophet", Hayek said that producing it was an exhausting task and that in the future she will limit the number of things she does because she has to "recover her energy and give her family the time it needs."

She added that she can not live without Makiko, a Japanese masseuse that gives her incredible facial massages.
