Temperatures below -5°C are expected for the mountain regions in Baja Calfornia, Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas, with sleet present in Chihuahua, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

Similarly, temperatures in the states of San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Puebla, Tlaxcala and the State of Mexico are expected to range between -5°C to 0°C.

Slight increases in temperature are predicted in the highlands of Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, and Oaxaca, with temperatures between 0°C to 5°C.

In the Gulf of Tehuantepec, gusts of wind may go over the 80 km/h yet on the coasts of Veracruz and Tabasco they are expected to have an average of 60km/h and of 50 km/h for the Yucatán Peninsula.

Several regions of Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Chiapas could see heavy storms together with Tabasco and Campeche.

Given the meteorological conditions present in the Mexican territory, the general public is strongly recommended to drive carefully as fog banks may impair visibility, and to dress in layers and with warm clothes.
