Alhough South Korea’s National Soccer Team started off with the right foot in terms of attack, with a few close calls for Guillermo Ochoa, the goalkeeper from Mexico’s National Team who was justly praised for his performance at last week’s game against Germany, Carlos Vela scored a penalty goal in the first half of the match.

Korea performed well, with a strategy of kickbacks while focusing on their defense. Several fouls were seen during the game, and the Asian team seemed desperate at times.

Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, star player from Mexico’s National Team scored another goal with a powerful kick during the second half of the match, becoming the third Mexican player in scoring a goal at three different World Cups (2010,2014, and 2018).

On the 90th minute, Son Heung-Min made a brilliant move, scoring a goal for the Korean team.

The final score was 2-1, and Mexico will move on to face Sweden on Wednesday at 9:00 am local time.
