Considered one of the most famous Chinese writers, Liu Zhenyun 's novels have been bestsellers in his country, and he will visit Mexico for the first time to present the Spanish translation of his books A Word Is Worth Ten Thousand Words and My Name is Liu Yuejin .

These are the first two titles Editorial Siglo XXI has published in Mexico, publisher which is also opening the collection El país del centro ( The Center Country ), aimed to introduce the best classic and modern Chinese literature , translated directly into Spanish.

The visit of Liu Zhenyun to Mexico includes several activities, which will begin on September 21, at 16:00hrs. with an open talk at the Foundation of Mexican Literature (FLM), which will also have the attendance of Eduardo Langagne, director of the Foundation, Liljana Arsovska, translator, and Jaime Labastida, chief editor in chief of Editorial Siglo XXI.

That same day at 19:00hrs., the books will be presented at Casa Lamm, located in Álvaro Obregón 99, Roma Norte.

For September 22, a literary cocktail event and a book signing are planned at the Porrúa Library in Chapultepec, located in Bosques de Chapultepec I. To end on a high note this same day, at 19:00hrs., the film "Someone to Talk to" will be shown at the Cineteca Nacional.

The film, based on Zhenyun's book, was made by his daughter, Yulin Liu , who will also be arriving in Mexico to present her film, as part of the cycle “Emerging Talent.”

Liu Zhenyun has won the Mao Dun Literature Prize , the most important award in Chinese Literature, for his book A Word Is Worth Ten Thousand Words , which has sold six million copies, and served as the inspiration for the film.
