David Campos Genaro, a student of the National Polytechnic Institute (Instituto Politécnico Nacional abbreviated IPN), won a silver medal at the 2017 International Invention and Innovation Show (INTARG), held in Poland.

Mexico's team led by David Campos Genaro a student at the Interdisciplinary Professional Unit on Engineering and Advanced Technologies (Unidad Profesional Interdisciplinaria en Ingeniería y Tecnologías Avanzadas abbreviated UPIITA) developed a bed that offers a wide range of ergonomic positions to the user, aromatherapy, massages, lighting, and music.

Campos Genaro explained that the bed has five positions for the commodity of the user: smooth mattress, reading, zero gravity, anti snoring and leg rest. He highlighted that the system is able to recognize the user's favorite position.

Additionally, the bed can be paired via Bluetooth to any smartphone with an Android platform and it has two speakers in the backrest.

The bed delivers unmatched therapeutic advantages due to its optimal full body massaging capabilities, yet it focuses on the trapezius muscle area, one of the most common locations for tension. For a complete relaxing experience, the bed has an aromatherapy system with lavender, orange, cinnamon, and lemon fragrances, among others.

The integration of all those systems, the theoretical foundation, and a solid business plan were key factors for the final verdict.

It should be noted that Iván Hernández Rocincuet and Sergio Eduardo Gutiérrez Gaitán, students at the Technological Institute of Toluca (Instituto Tecnológico de Toluca) participated in the redesign of the bed, which will participate in the 2017 Expo Sciences (Expo Ciencias 2017) on December.
