This year, the Great Book Sale at the National Auditorium reaches its 12th edition consolidating itself as a platform that approaches readers in a different way through a series of activities.

Concerts, workshops, book bartering, lectures and dramatized readings are only a few of the 264 activities prepared for the event.

Visitors will be able to find titles by at least 244 publishing houses offering discounts ranging from 50% to 80% off covering a wide array of genres such as fiction, poetry, essay, biography, science, children’s and youth literature, photography, design, architecture and even specialized topics.

"We seek to give visibility to national publishers affiliated to the National Chamber for the Mexican Publishing Industry ( CANIEM )," explained Carlos Anaya , Director of the CANIEM .

Some of the highlights of this year's edition are the participation of Mexican writers such as Javier Perucho , Alberto Chimal , Francisco Haghenbeck , Arturo Vallejo , and Gerardo de la Fuente , among others. The presence of Mexican cartoonists Rafael Barajas " El Fisgón " (" The Rubbernecker " or " The Peeper ") and Bernardo Fernández " Bef ", along with the Mexican bands Los Hot Brothers , Los Swingones , Mama Pulpa , and Calacas Jazz Band , among others.

The Great Book Sale will take place from March 27 to April 3 in the National Auditorium located at Paseo de la Reforma Avenue in Mexico City .
