The renowned British audio-visual artist Luci Holland , who usually works as an independent composer, participating in music projects such as Tinderbox Project and Absolute Classics , will make a visual installation as part of the Seeing, Hearing UK-Mexico project (SHUM) in the state of Michoacán, Mexico .

The artist, who graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2014 with a master’s degree in Composition for Screen , will present a structured artwork based on natural sounds and settings that she will capture in the surroundings of Morelia.

The SHUM consists of residences and multidisciplinary presentations that combine the best of contemporary sound, visual, and digital arts from Mexico and the United Kingdom , with the support of the British Council in Mexico and Anglo Arts .

As part of this British and Mexican collaboration, each year two artists from the UK get a chance to study at the Mexican Center for Music and Sound Arts (CMMAS) in Morelia, while two Mexicans have the opportunity of studying at the Cryptic producing art house in the city of Glasgow, Scotland .

Holland, who is a composer, arranger, sound designer, orchestra director, oboist, vocalist, voice actress, and art producer who composes for film, videogames, and concerts, will offer her installation at Morelia’s House of Culture in the Mexican state of Michoacán on February 8 . In the framework of her creative stay in Mexico, a day before she will offer a composition seminar for music and technology students at the CMMAS auditorium.

Luci Holland has organized several seminars and interactive artistic presentations such as the Edinburgh Game Symposium.

She is currently working on the composition of musical tracks for the Lordbound mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim .
