Amazon Prime Video, an on-demand video streaming service available in more than 200 countries and territories, might begin to deepen its presence in Mexico this year, as the streaming company is currently recording Falcón in the streets of San Rafael and Narvarte quarters in Mexico City.

Falcón will be Amazon's first show to be filmed in Mexico and it is expected to help the American company as it seeks to improve its position in the country and Latin America more broadly.

Mexican film director and screenwriter Ernesto Contreras will direct the series and it will be starred by Mexican actress Karina Gidi portraying a police inspector.

Even though the release date has not been disclosed yet, Falcón will be a crime thriller show based on the Javier Falcón Series written by British crime novelist Robert Wilson.
