West Ham United welcomes “Chicharito” Hernández

The soccer club West Ham United made official the transfer of Javier “Chicharito” Hernández and presented him today with a three-year deal which will commence with the 2017-2018 season.

Without deciding which number he will wear, “Chicharito” posed with the “Hammers” shirt, from the Premier League.

“West Ham United are delighted to confirm the signing of Mexican striker Javier Hernández from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of £16million,” announced the club on its official website, which launched today its Spanish version.

The Mexican striker will be immediately under Slaven Bilic's command and will fly to Germany to meet with the rest of the team, where he will continue off-season training.
 

For his part, co-President David Sullivan said: “We are delighted to welcome Javier as the latest fantastic addition to the West Ham United squad.”

He remarked that they have made efforts to have a competitive team, facing the upcoming season, “Following the arrivals of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, and Marko Arnautovic, he is another top class professional who brings great experience and quality to the Club.”
