How will the Germany-Mexico Dual Year end?

By accomplishing the goal of the Germany-Mexico Dual Year of creating an “alliance for the future” with a series of artistic, scientific, and educational exchanges between both nations, the relations will continue once the activities of the project come to an end.

Said activities, which in total were 1.374, will conclude this weekend with the AlemaniaFest including artistic and musical performances of both countries and the official closing by the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel.

Today, in the Monument to the Revolution in the Historic Center of Mexico City, Mexican musicians like Celso Piña, Bostich + Fussible de Nortec Collective and the German group Schlachthofbronx will perform in a concert.

On Saturday 10 will be a sextet of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.

To end the AlemaniaFest, the group Schlachthofbronx will play again on June 11, followed by the tightrope walkers Slackline, whose show will revolve around Alexander Schulz.

The activities of the Dual Year reached more than 4 million people in 27 states of the Mexican Republic, informed Itzel Zúñiga, Communications Director of the Dual Year.

Due to the results obtained from this activities, the Germany-Mexico relations will continue through the German Embassy in Mexico and the German Service of Academic Exchange. Along with the German Cooperation in Mexico, the Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Camexa), the Patronage of the German Industry for Culture and the Goethe-Institut Mexiko, among others.
