Carlos “Gullit” Peña, player of Mexican football Club León, could become the new Mexican to play in European football. According to FOX SPORTS, he would be joining Glasgow Rangers Football Club.

“Gullit” would have been drafted by Portuguese manager, Pedro Caixinha, head of the Scottish club since last March and Santos Laguna football club's former coach, in Mexico, team with which he won Liga MX and Copa MX as well.

Carlos Peña was loaned to the so-called ”Fiera” for the Clausura 2017 tournament after a lousy season in popular Mexican club Guadalajara. “Gullit”, 27, could be close to becoming the thirteenth player to arrive in Europe this season.

The footballer from Tamaulipas would be joining the most winning team of Scottish Premier League with 54 titles (last of which was won in 2010-2011 season).

The club's home is Ibrox Stadium which has a capacity of 50 thousand 817 spectators.
