US embassy donates training “kits” to Coahuila police

The U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs donated the kits to Coahuila investigative police officers as part of the Mérida Initiative.

The U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs donated training “kits” to Investigative Police Agents of Coahuila's state prosecutor.

The state Attorney General Homero Ramos Gloria said in a press statement that the training program is aimed at fulfilling the goals of the Mérida Initiative, the partnership entered between the United States and Mexico to fight organized crime and associated violence.

Ramos Gloria also said that these officials were the first to be trained as part of this program and will be in charge of training the rest of the Coahuila Attorney General's police force in the near future.
