The authorities in Mexico City reported rain in at least nine districts, with flooding in some areas.

According to the Water System of Mexico City (SACMEX), the affected districts are Gustavo A. Madero, Venustiano Carranza, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Tlalpan and Tlahuac.

The agency also reported two flooding areas in the Santa Isabel Tola neighborhood of Gustavo A. Madero.

Meanwhile, the Center for Emergencies and Citizens Protection Center of Mexico City reported on its Twitter account (@ciudad_segura) some rain in the districts of Milpa Alta, Xochimilco, and Coyoacán.

Due to the rain, the Metropolitan subway system activated its security protocols on its network.

At the same time the Department of Public Security of Mexico City recommended motorists to proceed with caution, use the safety belts and respect the traffic signs.
