Runner dies in Mexico City marathon

The authorities reported the death of 30-year-old Erick García Ramírez, during the XXXIII International Marathon of Mexico City.

According to medical reports, he fell to the pavement while crossing main Insurgentes avenue at 1:30 p.m., and was taken to a local hospital, where he was reported dead because of a myocardial infarction.

The organizers of the event will be in charge of the funeral expenses and provide attention to the victim's family.
