José Manuel Mireles to be released from jail

The charges against the former leader of the self-defense forces will be dropped.

Virginia Mireles Valverde, sister of former leader of the self-defense forces in Michoacán, José Manuel Mireles, confirmed that her brother could be released from jail at any time. 

She also said that José Manuel Mireles needs an urgent spinal surgery because he is semi-paralyzed from the waist down.

After being jailed for over a year in Hermosillo, Sonora, the former leader of the self-defense forces could be released in the next 72 hours, after the PGR informed that the charges against him will be dropped.
