Mexico's Finance Minister Luis Videgaray said that the three financial crises that hit the country in the last thirty years still weigh on the economy.

"The event that harmed us more were the financial collapses of the eighties and nineties," Videgaray said at the annual conference of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

"The world economy lost confidence on Mexico's  economy and there was a flight of capital," he explained.

"We have not fully recovered from these events," Videgaray added.
