The Mexican national soccer team was able to somehow save the game after a disastrous first half, in order to come back and rescue a 2-2 tie before Costa Rica, in a friendly before the Copa de Oro tournament, held in the Citrus Bowl in Florida.
David Ramírez, just four minutes into the game, and an own-goal by Miguel Layún on the 36, propelled the Costa Ricans to what seemed like a victory. But, Giovani Dos Santos, on the 53, and Javier Hernández, just a minute later, saved the Mexicans from defeat.
"El Tri" will close the preseason games on Wednesday in Houston, where it will match forces with Honduras.
