The National Water Commission (Conagua) reported that hurricane Andrés lost strength and fell to category 3, while tropical storm Blanca remains stationary in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

On its Twitter account, the agency pointed out that "Andrés" moves to the west-northwest.

The cyclone has maximum sustained winds of 127 miles per hour and gusts of 155 mph.

At 16:00 hours, the hurricane remained 700 miles west-southwest of Socorro Island, Colima, and 873 miles away from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.

Both Andrés and Blanca are located in the Pacific Ocean. Andrés reached category four as a hurricane while Blanca was formed from tropical depression 2-E.
